I love time travel stories, and I especially loved this one. It's a little different from other time traveling books I've read, which made it even better. Regan McCarthy sees ghosts and when she first sees eighteen hundred year old Faelan, she believes he is a ghost despite his swearing to her that he's not dead, but is instead, a cursed Celtic warrior.Faelan keeps turning up, and Regan is having trouble resisting the hotter than hot Faelan. I loved this story so much and thoroughly enjoyed watching as Faelan worked to convince Regan, the only human who has been able to see him since he was cursed, to help him. This was such a delightfully imaginative story, and I especially loved the idea of a window that Faelan was able to look out of from his cursed island and see what was going on in the world.
I loved Tangled in Time and highly recommend it.

Tangled in Time The MacCarthy Sisters eBook Barbara Longley Reviews
I've always enjoyed the premise of time travel stories and this one seemed interesting enough to give a try. It didn't disappoint. Although it did seem to be a bit of a drag at first, I carried on and was not disappointed. The love story was somewhat believable and the adventure and trials reminded me of the Greek myth of Cupid and Psyche. I did enjoy the strength of the love between the two characters and how the Regan was not some whiny heroine, but a headstrong woman who, after realizing what she wanted, fought for her love.
In regards to recommendation, I do, but don't let the first few chapters dissuade you from reading it.
I truly enjoyed this book. I found a huge mixture of everything that makes a story hard to put down. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there is a lost character. I prefer authors tie up all loose ends before the end. !!! Maybe there will be another book !
Romance and time travel seem the way to go in this day of age. If you the readers are tired of the same old storytelling, of hunky Scotts running over the moors. This is the next best thing. However. B.Longley does it with heart and a well written sexual interludes. I've given this novel a five rating because it was different and drew me in the first two chapters. She is a new author for my library. I fine her worthy to stay on my shelves with other well known authors.
I liked a good number of parts to this story, and the author writes with a nice humor and romance. The connection with the female and her 'boasty ghosty' was cute and I felt myself smiling often as they fell for each other. The only area where I began to get bogged down was with the interactions with the Fey, which began to get a bit confusing and confounding (why won't she let it go already?) and drawn out. In the end, it just seemed the 'Magic of the Fey' kind of caused and solved everything. But if you're searching for a Irish-themed time travel romance with a bit of fantasy, this might fit the bill.
It seems like certain publishing houses always produce well-edited, enjoyable books. Wild Rose Press is one and Montlake is definitely. As soon as I finish a book and sigh in satisfaction, I say, "I think this must be Montlake," and I'm usually right. Tangled in Time was no exception to this anecdotal rule. A ghost whisperer goes to Ireland to get away from the pressures of talking to the dead and helping the transition, and runs into a handsome, somewhat annoying ghost she's inexplicably attracted to. It takes Regan a while to believe what Faelan continues to tell her—that he is not a ghost but a man who's been cursed for 1,800 years. To be released from his curse, he first has to find a woman who can see him. Then he has to fall madly in love with her, to the point he would give his life for hers. Well, Regan can see him. That was easy. The falling in love part turns out to be amazingly easy, too, for both of them. But there's still that curse to worry about, and the jealous, treacherous fae who laid it on him.
I've read several of Longley's books and I like her style. I found this book fun and enjoyable. Recommended!
Not only is Tangled in Time a great story, but the writing is amazing. I used the highlight function on my kindle several times, because the author's words were so evocative of deep emotion.
Several twists and turns keep things interesting, and humor is used as the perfect foil for despair in many instances.
The author did a great job of mixing magic in with the time element to prevent too many stereotypical time travel elements. The hero is not frightened by modern technology, the ultimate cliche, but has had the opportunity to learn and observe changes and inventions over time. The heroine is intrigued but wary of this man who says he's from the past.
All in all, a great read that was hard to put down. I'm looking forward to the next in series, and will be reading more by this author right away!
I really enjoyed the book but when I choose time travel, it usually means a jump forward or back, not back and forth. Somehow this back and forth movement is very disturbing and interferes with my reading. I am forced to reread passages to ensure that I am understanding what is going on. This one bounces and is extremely intricate.
Reagan sees ghosts so when she meets a clan man from the third century, sane believes he is a ghost. Highly insulted, he explains he is cursed and will remain so until he falls in love. Can Reagan help him break the curse? Not if the fae who placed the curse has a say in the matter.
