I received an advance copy of Wille E Dalton’s second novel, and she’s done it again! In this compelling story, Sadie’s apparently normal world has been upended by an enigmatic new love, a looming curse and an ominously encroaching darkness that threatens all she holds dear. Dalton is an alchemist of words and I can’t wait to see what she brews up next!
A supernatural adventure! Loved this book! It holds your attention to the very end. It left me anxiously awaiting her next book. The Appalachian Mountains come alive in in this suspenseful read, reflecting the author's deep love of them. I felt compelled to look up information on Cumberland Gap, the setting for this story, a fascinating place with a rich history. So with that said order this book! It's a must read!
In 'The Dark Side of the Wood" Willie Dalton paints this story in such a way, that even the Appalachian Mountains become one of it's own vivid characters in the story. The visuals weave together with the story in such a way, that it heightens the reader's experience. Fabulously crafted, with character's you want to know, this book is a must-read.
This is the story of a sweet girl, raised in small town Appalachia, who discovers that sometimes, old wives tales ARE true. The author struck a perfect balance between small town life, romance, and the paranormal. The story draws you in from the very beginning and transports you right into Sadie's life. I fell in love with all of the characters and most certainly did not want the story to end.
I was honored to get a sneak peek at this book before release by Willie Dalton. An edge of your seat harrowing story as Dalton takes you into the mysterious dark woods in this unique romantic thriller. A serious page turner! If you are a fan of romantic thrillers mixed with the element of the frighteningly unknown, you'll want to put this book near the top of you "must read" list.
